Manual
HA
Enter list with probability for each symbol. For ex: {0.3 0.3 0.4}. Press
HA. Stack result:
-
Level 1: Mean information size
-
Level 2: Redundance
-
Level 3: Matrix with probability and information for each symbol columns.
-
Level 4: Number of symbols in list
ALFU
Enter list with probability for each symbol. For ex: {0.3 0.3 0.4}. Press
ALFU. The result is a list with the probabilities for the symbols taken
in groups of two. This is called Alphabetextention. You can press HA to
find out what the mean information size and redundance for the new alphabet.
PERR
Results in the probability of an error when using a symbol-repeat technique.
Enter repeat-count and the probability of an error. Press PERR. The result
is the symbol-error-probability. For ex: 2 0.001 PERR. That means every
symbol is repeated once !
BINO
Formula for the binomial sum. Pres BINO, Enter start index for sum, enter
final index and press XYSUB. The probability must be stored in the variabele
P.
XYSUB
Substitutes the X and Y in a formula on level 3 by the numerical values
on level 1 and 2.
ALFA
Enter the bandwidth, the number of bits transferred by each waveform (thats
the 2 log of the number of waveforms) and the number of bits/second or
the transmission rate. Press ALFA. The result is the alfa-coefficient in
the Sin(u)/u waveform. Be sure to enter the double bandwidth when working
with a LOPASS band. If you are using a BANDPASS channel, simply enter the
real bandwidth.
K
The value of the Maxwell/Boltzmann constant.
NORM
Computes the standard Gaussian probability. Just enter the value of x.
The result is P[X > x] with mean 0 and variation 1.
LOG2
Calculates the logarithm base 2
DB and DBF
Calculates the decibel for a given factor. DBF is the inverse function.
SHAN
Calculates the Shannon transmission flow. Enter the bandwidth, the Power
of the incomming signal and the environment temperature. Press SHAN.
Thats it, hope you enjoy !!
