Unicode

WindowsTrayIcon 1.7.7 and above finally have support for Unicode. This means that you can use the Tooltip, the Balloon messages and the AWT popup menu components in localized applications.

You can use Unicode in Java Strings, or you can use HTML codes as explained below.

HTML codes

You can also use the following HTML codes in strings passed to the Tooltip, Balloon message and AWT popup menu components. Try typing them into the input box of the Balloon demo (demo.swing.SwingTrayIcon).
